Barclays Jobs – Finance Analyst

Job Description:

As a Barclays Finance Analyst you will be responsible for undertaking financial analysis and providing reporting and insight for the Portfolio Control Office on all areas across the Portfolio. The PCO manages the effective execution of across the Barclays Payments Portfolio and the associated projects and programmes. You will provide data, insight, advice and guidance across finances to a variety of stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Acting as a subject matter expert across finance processes including procurement, amortisation, forecasting
• Collating, maintaining and providing relevant, timely and insightful programme /portfolio MI as appropriate
• Using multiple data sources, including SAP to provide detailed insights across the portfolio, identifying and resolving potential risks
• Working closely with key stakeholders including finance business partners, programme managers and Project Management Officers to ensure all financial processes adhered to
• Working with the Finance Lead, ensuring end to end management of the strategic investment budget

Job Requirements:

• Exceptional reporting, analytical and literacy including expertise in excel to enable insightful reporting
• Exceptional Excel and analytical skills
• Influencing / networking – developing internal and external business relationships and using own knowledge, skills and experience to influence others
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Manages time well to meet competing priorities and performs well under pressure, including reporting hot spots at month end and external reporting periods
• Decision Making and Problem Solving, ideally in a Change Delivery environment

Qualification & Experience:

• Proven background of operating effectively in a finance environment with strong experience in areas including; financial forecasting, reconciliation, financial analysis, SAP
