Job Description:
As a Digital Platform Technology Specialist, you’ll be part of a team key to maintaining the health of ba.com and its related apps to deliver the best experience for our customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work across multiple Digital domain areas to ensure efficient analysis and triage of faults and incidents reported to the Digital team.
- Day-to-day management and execution of changes to support the British Airways operation (e.g. enabling new routes on ba.com, managing complex content requests, supporting adhoc initiatives with our commercial teams).
- Supporting our IT and Product teams in the handling of high priority operational incidents.
- Work closely with our CSO and SecOps teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and attacks.
- Manage stakeholders with a diverse set of backgrounds and interests.
Job Requirements:
- Experience and skills in the operation and management of CDN, APM, RUM and other monitoring tools.
- Experience working with security teams, along with a good understanding of networking principles and technologies.
- Experience with incident/problem management in a retail/travel ecommerce environment.
- Experience with root cause analysis on a large scale, transactional technology platform.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Clear communication skills when delivering your points of view through data, insight and customer impact.
- A positive attitude in the face of uncertainty and an ability to take clear decisions in a fast-moving and pressurised environment.
- Understanding and experience of ecommerce platforms and architecture best practice.
