Job Description:
Early Childhood Support Teacher’s should possess the ability to assess and respond to the needs of children, using professional knowledge of children’s developmental milestones along with the ability to apply creative and varied approaches to children’s unique behavioral, developmental and educational needs. Our Early Childhood Support Teacher can be in two or more classes throughout the day. They will help the Early Childhood Teacher conduct lessons, provide coverage for teacher’s breaks and plan time and will also engage with parent communication/partnership. Teachers need to work cooperatively and collaboratively with their team members, remain calm and positive in a sometimes-stressful environment, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to multi-task. This is a PRN/As Needed position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Ability to pass occupational health requirements, including medical exams in accordance with state law
- Ability to pass Missouri’s Department of Health and Senior Services Family Care Safety Registry background check prior to employment and every 5 years in accordance with state requirements
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of education and/or early childhood work experience
- Associate’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education
- At least 2 years of total combined higher education and related work experience
