Job Description:
This is a Business Analyst role on the Finance Agile Release Train (ART) working on the Finance-related business process transformation that will be enabled by digital technologies, including SAP S4HANA on the Digital Core Project. The role requires innovative thinking in leveraging technology, vision and passion for simplifying Finance as a function.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support training development and delivery of new finance processes and SAP S4 HANA functionality
- Identify change management implications associated with new finance process designs
- Hybrid work model: two days in-office, three days remote. 9/80 work schedule supported
- Provide deployment support and expertise during go-live periods
- Support design workshops and help to develop, validate, and document new finance process designs
- Interest in future Chevron assignments as part of the broader Finance Function and/or embedded positions within Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and other support functions
- Teams are global, thus there will be some working across time zones
- Positions are located in Houston, TX or at Chevron’s headquarters in San Ramon, CA.
- Support efforts to identify local business requirements and implement solutions
- Work with project and business unit representatives to support execution of financial transformation and global finance process design initiatives
- Conduct testing of new system functionality
Job Requirements:
- Data Analytics & Visualization
- Familiarity with Financial value drivers e.g. Optimizing cash flow, ROCE, Working Capital
- Data Science and/or statistical modelling
- Build Relationships – Work Across Boundaries: Take a collaborative approach to achieve results by developing shared goals, breaking down silos, and expanding networks
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance/Business or technology development/deployment
- Understanding of data modeling techniques and system interfaces
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Business or Technical/Scientific fields
- The ability and willingness to learn from experience and apply that learning to perform successfully under new or first-time conditions. In an ever-changing world of technology, methods, and processes, we have to commit to being curious
- Currently on a career break of 18 months or longer
- Seeks to understand the end user and/or business needs, generate a variety of options, test potential solutions, and refine based on data and feedback.
- Assimilate new information & apply it to financial concepts. Research & evaluate information, develop findings, determine implications, and make recommendations
