Job Description:

This is an analyst role on the Finance Digital Delivery team working to identify and capture business value, discover new ways of working and create new insights enabled by digital technologies, including Advanced Analytics, Data Science and Automation. The role requires innovative thinking in leveraging technology, along with vision and passion for leading Finance into the future of work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Network with other Business Unit’s and/or Finance groups to help build predictive capabilities throughout Finance.
  • Serve as agile delivery team member made up of Finance and technical resources that utilizes Azure Dev Ops – ADO to deliver data products and technical solutions across the enterprise
  • Support Finance’s digital roadmap evolution, develop strategies to build OC and support long term goals for the Future of Finance
  • Interest in future Chevron assignments as part of the broader Finance Function and/or embedded positions within Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and other support functions
  • Position is located at Chevron’s headquarters in San Ramon, CA.
  • Analyst activities include understanding, validating, and manipulating new data sets; working with customers to bring data to their solutions; applying Finance and technical knowledge to bring data to life.
  • Identify and scale opportunities in the Automation space including RPA and Process Mining
  • Teams are global, thus there will be some working across time zones
  • Hybrid work model: minimum two days in-office, remainder remote. 9/80 work schedule supported

Job Requirements:

  • Data Science and/or statistical modelling
  • Understanding of data modeling techniques and system interfaces
  • Familiarity with Financial value drivers e.g. Optimizing cash flow, ROCE, Working Capital
  • Learning Agility – The ability and willingness to learn from experience and apply that learning to perform successfully under new or first-time conditions. In an ever-changing world of technology, methods, and
  • processes, we have to commit to being curious
  • Analytical – Assimilate new information & apply it to financial concepts. Research & evaluate information, develop findings, determine implications, and make recommendations

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Business or Technical/Scientific fields
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance/Business or technology development/deployment
  • Design Thinking – Seeks to understand the end user and/or business needs, generate a variety of options, test potential solutions, and refine based on data and feedback.

  • Currently on a career break of 18 months or longer
