Job Description:
The Sr. Data Analyst, Local Media Development delivers thorough, accurate, and timely performance analysis and source methodology for the company’s campus and public experiences, public programming, and economic impact reporting. This role reports to the Senior Director, Analytics and collaborates with team members across Comcast NBCUniversal to deliver senior executive-level and public-facing performance insights.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver and oversee delivery of accurate analysis and technical dashboards for the company’s campus and public venues and experiences via Tableau;
- Research, plan and participate in the development and delivery of the company’s external facing economic impact reports;
- Review calculation methodologies, researching and updating as required; and
- Develop insightful analysis and commentary to proactively support the Senior Director, Analytics and broader Local Media Development team;
- Develop and lead data source modelling;
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
- Measure, analyze, and interpret the team platform performance for public programming’s linear, online and social reach;
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to provide insightful investment analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a propensity for working with large data sets and/or sensitive data.
- Fluency with retrieving and aggregating data from multiple data sources
- Familiarity with web data & analytics a plus
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience with SQL, Python, and/or other scripting tools a plus
- Minimum of five years relevant work experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject matter (Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Science, Finance related degree is preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in partnering with internal and external stakeholders in complex and demanding conditions.
- Experience with industry standard platform data tracking and delivery systems such as Google Analytics and Tableau.
