Job Description:

The Product Design Lead helps envision and define innovative digital experiences across multiple product lines, partnering with Product, IT, and other cross-functional team members. The Product Design Lead provides oversight in the user-centered design process ensuring customer and employee digital products are co-created, usable, useful and enjoyable. This position guides and empowers consistent application of the design system enabling cohesive, usable, and accessible digital experiences. The Product Design Lead also leads and mentors Product Design team members to achieve the best possible user experience for every design project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Champion strong visual aesthetics within brand guidelines both individually and collaboratively with a team
• Mentor and coach members of the design team on industry and best practices and provide constructive feedback on design deliverables
• Provide inclusive design thought leadership and documentation during heuristic analysis, accessibility reviews, and other assessments of digital products
• Ensure quality of detailed flows and digital interfaces and establish guidelines for components in software such as Figma, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite products, etc.
• Contribute to and review design efforts as needed to ensure ideas are realized to their fullest potential through the effective use of user-centered design and guiding principles
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to product design team members and lead engagements with external vendors to produce useful and usable design deliverables
• Participate in ideation and conceptual development for digital experiences and shape design artifacts (flow diagrams, interactive digital concepts, prototypes, etc) that lead to intuitive user experiences and drive business results
• Participate as a design lead to cross-functional teams that include creative leads, other designers, project management, product management, developers, and QA
• Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design rationale both verbally and visually to stakeholders, product teams, users, and leadership teams
• Participate in and inform objectives for design validation research to understand consumer needs, opportunities and pain points to continually inform an iterative design

Job Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Qualification & Experience:

• Must have seven or more years of experience in product design, web design, UI/UX design and/or art direction with a focus on web and mobile digital products
• Must have seven or more years of experience with developing low- and high- fidelity prototypes for user testing
• Must have seven or more years of experience with visual and digital design tools such as Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, HTML/CSS or similar
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Design, New Media, Interaction Design, UX, or related field is preferred
• One or more years leading collaborative teams through human-centered design processes preferred
