Job Description:

In this position, you will you will serve as a Human Resource (HR) Specialist, responsible for providing advice, assistance and guidance to customers, supervisors & managers on human resources problems & issues of a conventional or non-conventional nature. The ideal candidate will have experience providing a wide range of technical advice and guidance to managers, supervisors and employees on a consultative level.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processing recruitment actions including rating and ranking applicants and preparing and issuing referral lists. Providing advice, assistance & guidance to customers, supervisors & managers on a wide range of HR problems &
• Advising management on recruitment strategies, sources, and special programs that emphasize affirmative
• Providing continuing technical services involving the identification and cultivation of recruitment avenues and strategies, determining rating and ranking factors, developing crediting plans and assessing applicants’ qualifications.
• Evaluating and interpreting pertinent legislation and new or revised Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policies or directives.

Job Requirements:

• You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
• Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
• Selective Service registration required.
• You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
• You must successfully pass a background investigation.

Qualification & Experience:

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related
• Master’s or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related
