Job Description:
We’re seeking a highly skilled technical professional to provide key expertise to our exceptional automated manufacturing capabilities. You will utilize Visual Plant monitoring software to review cycle times and faults of automation, as well as review and follow up on automation projects and installations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate automation repairs and use Maximo to generate CWO and 4D’s accordingly
- Update program backups for automation
- Reprogram automation for engineering changes, through-put and quality improvements
- Use FIS Plant monitoring software to review faults and cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project’s and installations
- Review, interpret, and modify electrical prints/schematics
- Troubleshoot PLC, Robot Application, and other critical programmable device issues and other critical programmable device issues
Job Requirements:

- Flex schedule to work nights and weekends if the need arises
Qualification & Experience:
- 1+ year of experience working with the following Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poke-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
- 5+ years of Fanuc Programming/Application experience
- 3+ years of automation engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ Years’ experience with body construction automation including laser systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with distributed control using Ethernet/IP and/or Profinet
- 1+ years Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Prior experience reviewing prints, using AutoCAD, and interpreting and modifying electrical schematics (both NEMA and IEC)
- 1+ year of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- 5+ years of experience with PLC logic and controls programs (RSLogix 5, RSLogix/Studio 5000, and TIA Portal)
