Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Power Delivery Team at Florida Power & Light Company (FP&L) to perform financial planning and analytics for our organization. Power Delivery is responsible for the safe, reliable delivery of power for FP&L. Within Power Delivery, Business Services is responsible for financial forecasting, analysis and compliance for Power Delivery’s ~$4B annual budget. Business Services works across the different departments within Power Delivery to ensure that the business unit meets or exceeds its financial commitments and provides advisory services to the organization. Employees in this job develop annual budgets and financial analyses for cash flow forecasts. This position tracks cash flows and analyzes and develop necessary countermeasures related to cost trends and drivers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifies emerging/contingency items that may need additional funding throughout the year
- Develops variance reports and long range planning goals
- Generates forecasts and/or budget analysis
- Provides mentorship/guidance to other personnel
- Tracks, analyzes and identifies opportunities and trends in activities
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Formulates corrective action recommendations to ensure financial targets are met
- Communicates financial positions to leadership
- Provides financial analysis
- Develops annual area budget requests
Qualification & Experience:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
- High School Grad / GED
- Master’s Degree
- Experience: 5+ years
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
