Job Description:
Join the Technology and Corporate Services team as a Procurement Contract Manager to support multiple business teams with sourcing, procurement, contract assurance, implementation and post-contract management activities. As the Contact Manager you will support Technology and Corporate Services team with the sourcing, procurement, contract assurance, implementation and post-contract management activities. This will involve working closely with business stakeholders to create and execute short and long-term procurement strategies for the relevant sub programmes which will best position Heathrow to maximise value delivery, minimise risk and delivery the agreed benefits of the programme through cost saving, revenue generation or improved Airport operations. Working in a fast-paced and regulated environment managing multiple projects, you’ll support the creation and delivery of overarching Technology and Corporate Services programme procurement activities
Job Responsibilities:
- Support and influence the strategic sourcing activities for large value, complex spend areas which align with the business and the broader business / market strategies.
- Having responsibility for contract assurance and support services including the delivery of all centralised contract amendments which will require strong relationships with Legal.
- Constructively challenge business plans and strategy documents to ensure robustness of approach that maximises commercial opportunity and mitigates risk
- Supporting the development and delivery of the procurement for Heathrow’s business strategy. Researching and contributing to the development of new innovative strategies which will be presented to relevant senior stakeholders, using creative commercial models, market leading technology and trends that will drive competitive edge for the business.
- Support and maintain all necessary agreed processes for supplier management, claims management, benefits and savings and continuous improvement targets whilst meeting all contract, regulatory, risk-reward and exit strategy requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analytics (i.e. MSExcel)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Highly customer focused and ability to understand the needs of the business
- Excellent partnering, influencing and negotiation skills to build strong relationships.
- Ability to interpret financial data and apply to decision making
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organisation, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear understanding of contract terms and conditions
- Highest degree of ethics and integrity
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in a variety of Procurement and Contracting models, using a range of reimbursement models.
- Experience of indirect procurement, particularly Comms and Events, Travel, Office Services, Office Supplies etc.
- Experience of delivering Projects to meet business affordability targets.
- Working towards professional qualification e.g. MRICS, CIPS, APM, CEng or willingness to commit to pursuing
- Experience of working in an integrated project team involving supplier partnering organisations
- Professional qualifications of commercial or legal bias or able to demonstrate equivalent capability coupled with experience in procurement roles.
- Experience of working in a matrix organisation.
