Job Description:

This Intelligence Operations Specialist position is located in the Transportation Analysis Division, Intelligence and Analysis (IA), Operations Support (OS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Job Responsibilities:

• Reviews reporting, analysis, and production for timely and accurate responses to TSA priority intelligence/counterintelligence requirements, Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) plan of analysis, and emerging customer requirements.
• Produces or reviews timely intelligence/counterintelligence reports, products, memorandums and briefing slides relating to adversary tactics, threats and/or risks to national security and/or transportation sector entities.
• Provides evaluation and feedback for improving intelligence/counterintelligence production, intelligence/counterintelligence reporting, collection requirements, and operations. Identifies and submits requirements on behalf of customers for the purposes of developing priority information/intelligence/counter intelligence requirements as appropriate.
• Collaborates with other TSA and DHS, intelligence/counterintelligence community, and law enforcement partners at headquarters and/or in the field to ensure comprehensive understanding of threats or risks affecting national security and/or transportation, especially on foreign intelligence, terrorist, or other threat matters.
• Performs and reviews analysis of intelligence/counterintelligence, open source, operational, and vetting of reports on attacks or incidents affecting transportation and other data to identify trends, patterns, linkages, draw conclusions, and estimate probabilities based on current and past intelligence/counterintelligence information and events.
• Monitors reporting, research, writes and briefs threat and/or risk information relating to transportation equities for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operational components, private industry, and foreign transportation security stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
• You must complete a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
• You must have reached the minimum age (18) at the time of application.
• You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National.
• Selective Service registration is required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening AND random drug/alcohol testing.

Qualification & Experience:

• To qualify for the SV-G Pay Band (equivalent to GS-5/7/9), applicants must meet one of the qualification requirements below. A. Experience: For those qualifying using experience, your application must clearly outline three (3) years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. OR B. Education: A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in any field from an accredited college or university. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position (Intelligence) OR C. Combining of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements
• To qualify for the SV-H Pay Band (equivalent to GS-11/12), you must meet one of the qualification requirements (A, B, OR C) outlined below: A. Experience: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the SV-G pay band or the GS-9 grade level OR B. Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related. OR C. Combining of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table
