Job Description:
The Senior Application Architect will work with our vendor team and associates to support and maintain the provider application family. They will work with the team to ensure new development for these application meet our operational excellence requirements and align with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Application Architect performs technical trouble shooting on complex issues to give guidance to other team members along with educating and enforcing Humana standards . Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Responsible for providing guidance and support to other team members using best practices and following enterprise standards. Lead the Operational Excellence initiative by partnering with our development teams to ensure system stability, data integrity, and performance. This will require participation on development projects and assure that the Ops Excellence and 110 plug requirements are met.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Demonstrates technical curiosity, strategic thinking in design and implementation
Qualification & Experience:
- Prior project architect and/or team lead experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and/or 10+ years design, development, and testing of software applications
- Experience with Microsoft TFS, Mainframe, .Net, Java/Documentum
- Open systems development experience
