The Recovery department is a vital link in the success of the business working to recover costs by minimising internal damages through repacking, building, and selling both damaged goods and customer returns. As the busy hub of every IKEA store, a fantastic opportunity awaits those seeking a deeper understanding of the commercial internal processes and our product range. Job Responsibilities:
- Building and taking apart furniture where needed
- Supporting the team to ensure all written-off, damaged or returned items are transferred to
- Unpacking, sorting and recovering a mix of pallets consisting of discontinued and damaged stock
Job Requirements:
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently
- A passion for building furniture, our products and our sustainability initiatives
- Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems
- Problem solving ability and be able to think outside of the box
- A safe mindset, and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting
