Job Description:

The role of Operations Analysis & Performance (OAP) is to support this mission by providing strategic insights by first understanding business processes and then leveraging data and analytics to drive continuous improvement efforts. The Analytics Specialist will be asked to work closely with leaders to develop creative solutions to current challenges.  We are looking for data curious candidates who enjoy thoughtful debates about how strategy, business process improvement, and analytics impact the way Delta reliably serves its customers. Job Responsibilities:

• Aggregate views of data sources into meaningful hierarchies
• Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models and project development
• Create insightful executive-level and frontline dashboards using data visualization tools
• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
• Develop and improve automated reports and analyses to support senior divisional leaders and business units
• Present findings to business leadership
• Create accountability tools such as scorecards and performance reviews that focus on KPIs that drive the business
• Understand drivers of the KPIs through various analyses and work closely with the business team to create solutions

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.
• Visual Basic, Perl, Python, UNIX or other basic functional programming tools
• Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
• Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
• Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings.
• Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations
• Successful candidates will have familiarity and/or experience with some or all of the following: SQL, SAS, R,
• Tableau or other database interface tools and languages

Qualification & Experience:

• Previous experience in operational roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics or other relevant quantitative field
• Previous experience with analytics
• High School Diploma/GED
• 3+ years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field preferred.
