Job Description:

This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction to achieve Lincoln’s long-range goals, reporting to the Head of Corporate Development. They will produce and oversee comprehensive analyses, strategic recommendations, industry partnerships, and specialized expertise to executive/senior leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop systems and accountability to capture and measure strategic value through industry partnerships.
• Build credibility and establish effective relationships throughout the organization, both at the corporate level and within the business units as a thought leader on internal & external innovation.
• Identify, research, align, and deliver new business opportunities that are outside of Lincoln’s current core focus.
• Act as a primary business partner for external stakeholders, building strategic relationships and being an integrator between Lincoln and the industry.
• Lead proposal development, feasibility studies, comparative analyses, due diligence, and negotiations for new business opportunities, partnerships, ventures, etc.
• Develop collaborative partnerships with senior & executive leaders, maximizing & optimizing matrixed resources, including intellectual property.
• Influence the development and planning of strategies to meet organization’s long-range goals, including new business opportunities, equity investments and strategic business alliances.

Job Requirements:

• MBA degree or advanced degree a plus
• FSA designation or ASA designation a plus
• Demonstrated connections and relationships with industry innovators and/or investors preferred
• Other advanced designations a plus – CFA, CERA, FRM

Qualification & Experience:

• Undergraduate degree
• 12+ years of business management/consulting, strategic/corporate planning, venture capital and/or merger & acquisition experience
• Sound knowledge of insurance, investment, and enterprise risks
• 5+ years of management, strategy, and influencing senior/executive stakeholders
