Job Description:

As the Midwest Sales Director in Retirement Plan Services, you will be responsible for developing, directing, implementing & maintaining a complex business plan to achieve sales & growth goals for large/complex targeted external wholesale firms/institutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will direct the identification and implementation of process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders on proposals & distribution of relevant marketing materials for your territory. In addition, you
  • will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.
  • You will build and direct a complex relationship platform by identifying senior/executive contacts within targeted firms to achieve profitable sales & Lincoln’s product breath growth
  • You will meet or exceed all department and/or sales goals/targets for your assigned territory
  • You will conduct firm/institution meetings & in-person meetings to achieve sales targets (e.g. due diligence meetings, one-on-one meetings, sponsorship & speaking opportunities).
  • You will direct business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations.
  • You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned territory and products, assessing impacts, and collaborating with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written)
  • Proven strong relationship management skills, ability to build rapport quickly, and proactive management of plan goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with retention of Retirement Plan clients in the mid/large market.
  • Governmental, higher ed, corporate, and healthcare plan experience.

Qualification & Experience:

  • 5- 7+ Years of experience in external wholesale that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Certifications: FINRA S6 and S63
  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s)
