Job Description:

The Sr. Manager Franchise Operations covers the independent handling of approx. 80 stores in Western Canada for the Discount (NOFRILLS) Franchise banner. The position requires a high-profile performer to represent the Franchisor in support of the Management Team in this region. This role also coordinates franchise administrative processes including, new store set-up, preparation, and presentation of the Proforma / Franchise terms. Develop and grow the “Business Relationship” with franchisees to support improved performance on KPI’s and business financial results.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the recommendation and management of rent/financial support to Franchisees Key Performance Measures (KPMs)
  • High level of accuracy in all documentation Increase in No Frills franchisee satisfaction
  • Delivery of projects/new franchise transactions to required time lines
  • Works with store operations and franchisee to develop and monitor annual business plans and financial targets
  • Set up new franchisees and provide them with all necessary documentation and orientation.
  • Generation and presentation of ProForma analyses as required
  • 80 Discount Franchise banner stores in this region Conduct ongoing Business reviews with Franchisees and
  • District Managers to ensure delivery of financial and operational performance results
  • On time delivery of all required documentation, reports, and analyses
  • Ensure franchisee complies with contractual agreements.
  • Represent the Franchisor in Western Canada to ensure alignment with our Franchise Program Responsible for approx.
  • Maintains a project list to ensure New Franchise transactions are completed based on established timelines
  • and cover all aspects of the purchase and sale transaction
  • Engagement in development of strategic priorities of the business development function
  • Prepares all documentation required to support franchise agreements for these 80 Discount Franchise locations, collaborating as needed with internal or external legal resources in the writing or interpretation of contract language and terms.
  • Delivers all functional reports and analysis accurately and on time and maintains a database of key financial information.
  • Support the Business to develop and grow our business relationship with our Franchise Owners.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to independently handle Franchise negotiations
  • Knowledge of approved accounting process and procedures
  • Accounting Designation and/or Business Degree preferred
  • Overnight travel to Ontario
  • Strong analytical ability and knowledge of financials
  • Working Environment, Demands & Pressures
  • Strong People Skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience with operational P&L statements preferred
  • Experience in creating commercial contracts and franchise documentation preferred
