Job Description:

The consultant handles a significant case load and coordinates Merrill’s discovery and response efforts arising from grand jury subpoenas and criminal inquiries from law enforcement, governmental agencies and other legal entities requesting documents and information for a number of criminal investigations and trial proceedings. In addition, the consultant directly interacts with various internal and external stakeholders throughout the course of an investigations. Moreover, the consultant assesses and analyzes risk exposure to the firm as well as provides written reports for senior management, business unit heads, and risk management executives.

Job Requirements:

  • Sound work ethic and enthusiasm to learn
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with PowerPoint and database management
  • JD or MBA preferred.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience with high profile investigations and complex discovery management
  • JD or MBA preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of three to five years of postgraduate experience working with a broker/dealer, regulator, government agency, or equivalent
