Job Description:

MetLife is a leading financial services company offering its customers insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management options to aid in navigating life’s changes. We are seeking motivated professionals to help drive operational excellence in the Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) organization of Global Technology and Operations (GTO). In this role you will manage a team of analysts and administrators that perform pension benefit calculations. This can include providing day to day client services and administrative support to customers, responding to client requests, performing complex calculations in an accurate and timely manner, and preparing reports and analytical documents for internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and data integrity
  • Translate senior management vision and assists with developing the department’s vision, strategy, service levels, and business objectives. Communicates vision and strategy to staff
  • Ensure all internal and external audits have been fully coordinated and thoroughly addressed within their specified timeframes
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external clients, customers, and business partners
  • Partner with other operational areas to build strong working relations and improve workflow and organizational issues
  • Ensure associates are fully trained
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of benefit calculation analysts and administrators
  • Perform reviews of complex benefit calculations
  • Develop and ensure teams use standard repeatable business processes
  • Propose, evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage multiple projects effectively

Job Requirements:

  • Able to manage organizational change
  • Able to delegate effectively
  • Knowledge of Pension Annuity products
  • Strong planning, tactical, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, business acumen, project management

Qualification & Experience:

  • 6-10 years of related experience
  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
