We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our International Human Resources team as Human Resources Officer – Japan and Korea.
As the HR Officer based in our Regional Office in Tokyo, Japan, you will add immediate value by providing support to line managers across the Japan and Korean markets in the areas of employee relations, remuneration and benefits, leadership development, performance management, and talent management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with HR centers of excellence in Head Office to implement company-wide HR initiatives across the Japan and Korea markets.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics as required by Regional HR Management.
- Develop HR planning strategies with line manager which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements in term of numbers and skill levels, as well as development needs.
- Collaborate with local Global Business Services team in managing payroll and related reporting.
- Supervise and oversee all matters related to the administration of employment records and related documents (including terms of employment, contract renewals, probation reports, end of employment reports, termination checklists, employee records and files) and ensure compliance to local labor requirements and
- Qatar Airways standards and policies.
- Supporting regular HR project work.
- Provide advice to managers on the implementation of HR policies and processes to support them in making decisions that are fair and ensuring consistency across the company.
- Support, develop, and coach managers through employee relations issues; including performance management, absence, grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Coordinate the orientation of new employees and probationary reviews.
- Case management of employee relations issues through to conclusion.
- Provide a range of HR services to support the end to end employee experience in all departments including Commercial, Ground Services, Global Business Services and Cargo.
Job Requirements:
- Fluency in English, and Japanese both written and spoken is essential for this role, and fluency in Korean is preferable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and other government compliance regulations e.g. health and safety.
- The role will involve regular travel to our sites within Japan and Korean
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in employee relations, organizational change and case management
- Bachelor degree within Human Resources or a relevant field.
- Minimum four years Generalist HR experience within a fast paced, multi-site, and ever changing environment.
