Job Description:
The Global Supply Chain Accelerated Development Program is a relocatable rotational program that provides participants the appropriate training and learning experiences that will prepare them for their first career position within the Company. Target roles after successful completeion of the program for the Engineering Accelerated Development Participant is a Process Engineer, Reliability Excellence Engineer, or Controls Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Transactional Lean, Accelerated Root Cause, and Six Sigma Training
- tools and processes
- Special projects as identified by the Engineering Team
- learning all manufacturing/engineering systems
- Knowledge of the many different areas within the Engineering function
- metrics and standards
- A total Supply Chain overview (from product concept to finished product) through online modules
- assisting with creating and submitting FCAs
- Understanding of the operations within a paint plant or distribution service center
- Mentorship from a Senior level Engineer
- delivery systems & instrumentation
- updating the site’s process/value stream map
- investigation of new plant engineering processes and techniques
- Opportunity to work/lead projects that may include
- process functional specifications
Job Requirements:
- Project Management skills
- Previous Internship, Co-op, or work experience in a related field
- Leadership experience as demonstrated by your involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community
- Organizational and time management skills
- Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-op
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Problem solving ability
Qualification & Experience:
- Must have a Minimum overall GPA of 2.80
- Must be willing to Relocate, to ANY listed locations, for this position and upon completion of the program.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in the engineering field from an accredited institution, prior to starting the position.
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without
- Must be at least 18 years of age
