Job Description:

We are looking for a sr instructional designer who is passionate about developing and managing learning programs at Starbucks!

As a sr instructional designer, your work will help Starbucks build a talent culture with a focus on our mission & values and enable partners to support the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with learning and development team or vendors to develop and design learning solutions.
• Lead self and others successfully through minor and major change.
• Recommend strategic, innovative approaches for retail learning programs that support the company’s retail operations.
• Enable open, constant and constructive dialogue between business functions and L&D.
• Consult with cross-functional leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders to complete needs assessment and determine potential learning solutions.
• Plan, resource and monitor the effective delivery of learning and performance solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
• Demonstrate excellent and flexible communication and consulting abilities cross-functionally, cross-culturally and across levels.
• Apply adult learning theory and instructional design systems with effective application in an agile, fast-paced retail business setting.
• Carefully consider multiple factors before making decisions.
• Recognize potential problems before they become larger issues; solves problems effectively and follows-up on results.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Starbucks business strategy and goals and how their work contributes to success.
• Demonstrate ability to link business decision to results; understand Return on Investment (ROI) of decisions/actions.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bring 4+ years of experience project managing and owning learning programs.
• Bring 6+ years of experience designing curricula using adult learning principles.
• Bring 4+ years of experience with individual and organizational performance consulting.
