United Healthcare Jobs – Instructional Designer Sr.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support / back-up to other members of the team
• Collaborate with trainers, quality adherence, and business partners to identify strengths and areas for improvement in training solutions, and appropriate steps to take to improve training effectiveness
• Partner with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs needed to identify business needs, performance goals / gaps, and training content
• Perform analysis/research to identify the specific knowledge, skills, behaviors needed to achieve desired performance levels
• Solves moderately complex problems and/or moderately complex analyses
• Review work performed by other team members, provide recommendations for improvement
• Design and develop innovative learning solutions based on training designs and learning objectives
• Create, communicate, and maintain project plans for design/development of identified solutions
• Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
• Create and present structure and scope of training content (i.e., content outlines, storyboards, sequence)
• Perform other duties to support projects contributing to educational goals
• Monitor and analyze training and quality adherence metrics/data/trends and identify areas needing attention to enhance learning effectiveness

Qualification & Experience:

• Graphic design experience
• 2+ years of experience applying tested instructional design adult learning theories, practices and methods such as ADDIE, SAM , and behaviors needed to achieve desired performance levels
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of project management (documenting timeline, milestones, and status reports) including time management capabilities
• 2+ years utilizing multimedia tools for education or instruction (MS Office Suite, Adobe creative cloud, articulate story line, Vyond, or equivalent animation tool)
• Healthcare and / or corporate training experience
• 2+ years developing innovative learning activities based on training designs and learning objectives (i.e., agendas, schedules, quick reference guides, handouts, job aids, trainer/learner guides, and audio/visual aids)
• 2+ years of Professional MS Office skills
