Job Description:

The Brokerage Supervisor II is responsible for administering Customs and Border Protection (CBP) compliance, conducting exception reviews, and providing customer care assistance. The incumbent trains employees on compliance with regulations and requirements and implements and enforces related policies and procedures. This position maintains productivity, develop team goals, and manages the workload of staff. This role is well versed on international commerce industry changes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Delegates and prioritizes the workload to meet customers’ and regulatory deadlines
  • Conducts customer meetings and business reviews
  • Identifies opportunities for advancing skills and capabilities
  • Applies knowledge of Customers’ business to identify growth opportunities
  • Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues
  • Ensures staff development by coaching and providing feedback and verifying that employees have career goals and plans
  • Reviews and approves regulatory information prior to CBP submission

Job Requirements:

  • Possesses ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and/or writing basic queries; identifies information required to complete reports and identifies existing reports generated by others
  • Describes in general terms customer characteristics, preferences, history, processes and constraints; uses knowledge of customers to provide input on products or features to promote and lists products/services are currently used by customers
  • Customs Broker License
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of supply chain concepts and identifies issues within a supply chain
    Works with others to research stakeholders’ and key decision-makers’ needs, requirements, and perspectives

Qualification & Experience:

  • Possesses experience supervising others
  • Minimum 1 year of Brokerage experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree)
  • Experience using Zoom video communications software or equivalent
