Job Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Format Analyst to join our talented Insight and Format team based in our Travel Head Office in London. Reporting into the Insight & Format Lead, the main purpose of the role is to develop a variety of strategic growth hypotheses and lead on the analytics and insight to come up with commercial recommendations, across all our segments and formats in the UK and worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the BI department to deliver self-serve dashboards with ad-hoc insight from sales and external data sources
- Own the estimates and forecasting of new stores and formats, to guide our business development team
- Own and develop periodic and quarterly reporting to communicate key customer and format KPIs to drive awareness and support decision making
- Act as an advocate and maintain our segmentation models to ensure the wider business is engaged
- Develop relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g. Trading, Business Development, Space & Format, Construction)
- Consistently apply analytical thinking to respond to a variety of commercial hypotheses, combining historical and market data, relevant insight, and space knowledge and articulate recommendations and outputs to key stakeholders
- Support the insight & format lead with varied insight projects by providing data analysis
- Deliver tactical forecasting, as well as supporting on large scale space & format implementation
Job Requirements:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with an ability to balance a large range of priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability and confidence to influence a variety of people from a diverse set of teams, up to board level
- Ability to summarise data and present findings with clear, action linked recommendations
- Data-driven mind-set with strong analytical and problem-solving skills including
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to relate actions and decisions to commercial performance
- Advanced Excel skills required (including formulas and complex pivot tables)
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Qualification & Experience:
- Proven experience using DAX and SQL
- Experience working with Power BI
- Experience with data warehouses (Teradata) and relational Databases
- Experience of creating data visualisation dashboards using BI Tools
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Proven experience in data analysis is essential
- Project management experience would also be beneficial
